Morton and Pitalo, Inc. provided civil engineering services including the preparation of civil improvement plans, drainage calculations, and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), as well as provided construction staking, and construction phase assistance to the Design Build Contractor.

 

This Design Build Team shall design and construct a new approximately 70,000-gross square-foot building for the UC Davis School of Medicine and the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at the UC Davis Sacramento Campus. The building will house instructional, administration and support services for students, faculty and staff. It will be designed to foster interdisciplinary and interprofessional education with other campus education facilities, creating a welcoming environment that serves as a magnet for students, faculty, staff and other health-care professionals. It will provide state-of-the-art facilities including new technology to enhance collaborative learning.  

 

The project includes site development and landscaping connecting and showcasing the HSE building. Site development will connect a pedestrian thoroughfare through the overall campus, providing circulation between adjacent educational and research buildings and creating outdoor program space. The project also includes site utility infrastructure serving the new HSE building.
